Notes for John J. HENNESSY
During a June 8, 1997, telephone conversation, his daughter, Jean
Hennessy Katz, recalled that John J. Hennessy was known as Jack
Hennessy. He joined the Navy when he was young and retired after 35
years. He went back into the Navy during World War II and taught the
recruits at Princeton. After he retired from the Navy again, he worked
for Central Hudson Gas and Electric. He and his wife and daughter moved
to Creek Locks, New York, in about May 1926.
