Notes for Rebecca E. WITHROW

The Wisconsin marriage index shows that Rebecca E. Withrow was married in
Grant County, Wisconsin, on April 8, 1898, and the record is in Volume 3,
page 166, Sequence 21793.

The 1901 Grant County, Wisconsin, Biographical Sketch Book, in the entry
for Daniel Stanton, shows that Rebecca Withrow, daughter of William and
Martha Withrow, was the "deceased wife of Payton Vaughn, of Lemars, Iowa."

The July 24, 1926, "History of William Withrow" by Nellie Stanton with
"Facts Furnished by Her Mother, Edith Withrow Stanton" shows Rebecca
Withrow was born October 4, 1845 and was the wife of Payton Vaughn of
LeMars, Iowa. She died March 7, 1886, at age 40, leaving a husband and
five children, two sons and three daughters. At the time of the 1926
history, only two daughters were still living, of whom Elberta was the
eldest.
