Notes for Sara THURTELL

Information received from Peter Murray in 1997 shows that Sara (or Sarah)
Thurtell was baptised February 12, 1703, at Norwich St. Julian, daughter
of John Theartill and Alice (IGI entry). She was mentioned in her
father's will in 1729, being then probably unmarried. To her he left
one guinea of gold. She was appointed whole & sole executrix in her
mother's will in 1734, and was so sworn at Norwich September 20, 1735.
In the will her mother bequeathed to her (i.e. Sarah her eldest daughter
after bequests to the others of her aons & daughters) "all the rest and
residue of my estates, moneys, chattles, rights & dues wtsoever &
wheresoever."
