Notes for Edgaretta THURTELL
Edgaretta Thurtell is listed in the U.S. Census for 1900 for Illinois
(Vol. 103, ED 40, Sheet 7, Line 47) as E. M. Thurtell, age 27, born in
October 1872, in Illinois, living with her grandfather, John H. Vanvoirt,
at 53 South Third Avenue, Kankakee, Kankakee County, Illinois.
The death certificate for Edgaretta Thurtell Hall shows she died on March
3, 1939, at 594 West River, Kankakee, Kankakee County, Illinois, where
she had lived for one year and two months. It shows her date of birth as
October 29, 1873, and that she was born in Kankakee, the daughter of W.
B. Thurtell and Abbie Vanwert. She was the widow of Charles Hall. The
informant was Allen V. Hall, Kankakee, Illinois. She was buried in Mound
Grove Cemetery, Kankakee, Illinois, on March 6, 1939.
