Source: Memories of Susan Persia Thurtell Miller and Social Security
death records. I thought her maiden name was Davies, not Davis. Her
Social Security number was 579-05-3834. The Social Security number
record shows her name at the time she applied for her Social Security
card in January 1941 was Louise Davis Thurtell; her name at birth was
Emma Louise Davis; her date of birth was February 19, 1914; her place of
birth was Washington, DC; she was a white female; her mother's name was
Jessie M. Price, and her father's name was Frederick D. Davis. A claim
(probably for the $255 death benefit) was filed at the Social Security
office in Silver Spring, Maryland, about March 7, 1975, showing the date
of death of March 2, 1975. My annotation showed her date of death as
March 6, 1975. She is buried at Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia,
next to her husband.
