Henry Thurtell and Julia Mary (Mate) Snow Thurtell spent the early years of their marriage in Reno, Nevada, where he was a professor at the University of Nevada. They moved to 1217 Delafield Place, North West, Washington, DC, in 1911, where they lived the rest of their lives.
