Notes for Jane WITHROW

The July 24, 1926, "History of William Withrow" by Nellie Stanton with "Facts Furnished by Her Mother, Edith Withrow Stanton" shows Jane Withrow and her brother William were raised by two maiden aunts after their mother died when William was born in 1801 and their father three years later. Jane married Mr. McCormick and lived in or near Hazel Green (state unknown) and was the mother of six children, three sons and three daughters. Mrs. Ida Smith of Fairplay, Wisconsin, was a granddaughter of Jane Withrow McCormick. After her husband's death, Jane spent a great deal of her time at the home of her brother, William. She died in 1877 according to this history, which is shown in full in the notes about William Withrow.
