Notes for Harriet Winifred Hardwick WOODS

Information received from Peter Murray in 1997 shows that Harriet Winifred Hardwick Woods Murray, "Freda" ("Agee" or "Gago" to her grandchildren), was born April 29, 1895, in Riverside, California, daughter of Capt. Thomas Hardwick Woods, J.P., gentleman of Blundeston Hall, Suffolk, England (see WOODS Family). She died May 29, 1990. She continued to live in London, Ontario, after her husband died, but eventually sold her house in 1986/7 and went to live in her daughter Susan's house in Pointe-Claire Quebec. In 1996 her grandaughter Sarah compiled a beautiful book of memories of her, including among other memorabilia, various excerpts from her poetry and other writings and transcripts of taped recollections.
