According to information received from Peter Murray in 1997, Lucy and Hilton Wattrus had no children.

The death notice for her mother, Plestina Blatherwick Thurtell, born Hitge, who died August 31, 1920, in the dwelling house in Willowmore, District Willowmore, South Africa, shows her surviving spouse as Walter Thurtell. The list of surviving children includes Annie Younger Tarr born Thurtell, married in community of property to Glenmore Tarr.
