Information about Josiah W. Conant, his wife, and their descendants was received in January 2000 from Jeff Card. His information showed that Josiah W. Conant was born April 31, 1821, in Stowe, Vermont, and that he died on October 17, 1887, in Waterbury, Vermont, aged 66 years, 6 months, 18 days, of diabetes and that he was a house painter. His parents were listed on his death certificate, but no birth certificate was found for him. He was married to Harriet Hatch on May 30, 1852, in Groton, Vermont.
