Notes for Lydia SHATSWELL

The book "Vital Records of Haverhill Massachusetts to the End of the Year 1849, Volume II - Marriages and Deaths" found on the internet in February 2000 in the GenealogyLibrary.com shows on page 144 that Griffing (see also Griffin), John, and Lidia Satchwell (Shatswel. dup.), were married September 17, 1663. The book was published by the Topsfield Historical Society, Topsfield, Massachusetts, in 1911; and the edition posted on this internet library was published by Tuttle Antiquarian Books, Inc., 26 South Main Street, Post Office Box 541, Rutland, Vermont 05702, Telephone (802) 773-8229.

The same internet library also had the book "Old Families of Salisbury and Amesbury Massachusetts Volume 1" by David W. Hoyt, published by Snow & Farnham, Providence, 1897. On page 188 this book shows:

On page 753 this book shows:

"2 JOHN2 GRIFFIN m. Lydia Shatswell (Theophilus). She and ten chil. were liv. in 1709. She d. Dec. 21, 1729, in her 84th yr.

7 LYDIA3 GRIFFIN m. Wm. Knowlton; liv. 1709."
