Notes for Ann THURTELL

The History of the Thurtell Family done by Susan Persia Thurtell about 1968 and the family tree done by Harriet Thurtell about 1900 show Ann Thurtell married William Nestlin.

The IGI CD LDS Batch 446050, Ordinance 41962, Salt Lake Temple, shows Ann Thurtell was born in 1776 in Blundeston, Suffolk County, England.

Information received from Peter Murray in 1997 shows Ann Thurtell was born in 1778 and baptised in 1778 at Blundeston, St. Mary's, Suffolk. His records show she married William Neslen (or Nestlin) of Flixton in 1805, and they may have had children. He shows her date of death on page 35 as 1842. A letter to Canada in 1841/2 refers to "Aunt Nestlin." A 1998 e-mail from Peter Murray confirsm the parish records show she was baptised in 1778, although she could have been born in 1776.
