Notes for Caroline THURTELL

The History of the Thurtell Family done by Susan Persia Thurtell about 1968 shows Caroline Thurtell died unmarried in 1898.

According to information received from Peter Murray in 1997, Caroline Thurtell
was born in 1825 or 1827 at Sunderland, Durham County. One source shows she died unmarried in 1898, but where she lived is not recorded. Another source shows she married,...Manfred, and had one son, Dr. Manfred, who lived in Cincinnati, U.S.A. A document in the Mickle Collection calls her "Carrie Manfred" and states that she had for many years a school for boys in London.

The 1998 LDS British Isles Vital Records Index CD shows her as Caroline Thurtell, daughter of Edward Thurtell and Sarah, who was christened September 19, 1827, as recorded in Tunstall, Lancashire, England (FHL number 1068754).
