Notes for Henry Browne THURTELL

The History of the Thurtell Family done by Susan Persia Thurtell about 1968 shows Henry Thurtell died in 1896 and that he married Goode and had two children in America.

Information received from Peter Murray in 1997 shows Henry Thurtell was born in 1829 (he was age 22 in 1851 - according to the census at Caton, Lanc.?), and died in 1883. He married a Miss Goods, and had two children, but their names and where they lived is not recorded. His name is given as Henry B.T.Manfred Thurtell in Charlotte Mackie's records (could this be a mistake since his sister Caroline married a Manfred?).

The 1998 LDS British Isles Vital Records Index shows that Henry Browne Thurtell, the son of Edward Thurtell and Sarah, was christened on November 30, 1829, as recorded in Turnstall, Lancashire, England (FHL number 1068754).
