Notes for William Andrew CLEGHORN

The following information was provided by Charlotte Angst Mackie in 1997.

William "Bill" Andrew Cleghorn was a farmer on Lot 8, 9, Con. 4, from 1934 until he retired and moved to Guelph in 1963. He was a member of Waverly Lodge No. 361 in Guelph; President of the Guelph Township Horticultural Society from 1947 to 1950 and again in 1956; a life-long worker for the cause of horticulture; and was appointed to the Guelph Cemetery Commission for the term 1946-1962.

He died on January 23, 1984, in his 83rd year at General Hospital, Guelph, Ontario, Canada. His funeral was from the Knox Presbyterian Church, Quebec Street, Guelph, on January 26, 1984; and he was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
