She was thought to have been born about 1802 in Wells, Suffolk, England or Wells, Somerset, England. According to information received in 1997 from Peter Murray, there is a record in Kessingland, Suffolk, England, of the baptism on July 5, 1801, of Sarah Anne Davy, born June 20, 1801, daughter of John and Anna (Aldborough) Davy.
