The notice in the "Guelph Advertiser" of August 11, 1848, shows "Died - On the 9th inst., at the house of Mr. Baker, Louisa, daughter of Benjamin Thurtell, Esq., J.P., of this township, aged 19 years. - Cut off at an age when the world is just opening to view, with all its charms and promises of future enjoyment, whilst its cares and sorrows only occupy the back ground, it required nothing less than Grace from on high to enable her to express a wish to depart, which was the case some days before death put an end to her sufferings."
The 1998 LDS British Isles Vital Records Index CD shows Louisa Thyrtle, daughter of Benjamin Thyrtle and Anne, was born in Gisleham and christened on February 8, 1829, as recorded in the Bishop's Transcript for Suffolk County, England (FHL number 918514).
