Walter Thurtell was born in January 1861 in Canada, and Mary Agnes Hall was born February 23, 1885, in New York, New York. Both of them were living in Leelanau County, Michigan, by the 1870 U.S. Census, and they both lived in Michigan the rest of their lives.
