Evangeline Florence Thurtell was born in Maple City, Michigan, on May 31, 1886, one of the children of Walter and Mary Agnes Hall Thurtell. She married Dr. Edward Alexander Miller on August 24, 1911, in Traverse City, Michigan. Dr. Miller was a physician first in Suttons Bay, Michigan, and then for many years in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
After Dr. Miller retired, he and his wife moved to Seattle, Washington, where they passed away. Eva Thurtell Miller died on December 5, 1964; and her husband on April 26, 1965.
